Kvaerner Masa-Yards Inc., Helsinki New Shipyard ordered ALL Remote Controlled Valves from PLEIGER Maschinenbau GmbH & Co KG, for installation on New Building 498 (COSTA Crociere), 499 (Carnival Corporation) and additionally three (3) equal Option vessels for the Carnival Corporation.

The Ordered Valves with Controls were installed for Ballast Water, Ship Side and Bottom Chests, Cooling Water, Bilge, Fuel Transfer, Potable Water, Grey Water, Black Water, Fire Fighting and other systems.

The valves were equipped with the new Electro - Hydraulic Actuators, "EHS". The world wide patented Actuators "EHS" were introduced to the public 4,5 years ago and by now more than 10,000 actuators have been produced and supplied.
